Like Shining Force, Persona 2 is another example of an episodic game not getting a full localization treatment. "Innocent Sin" was released before the second installment, Eternal Punishment (which did reach America in 2000), but rather than there being an issue with sales or popularity, there were concerns with the story, which, among other intensely dark plot elements, includes the resurrection of Hitler. With the recent PSP remake of the first Persona, maybe Atlus will take a second look at Persona 2 as well -- lord knows the fans won't shut up until then (though they did go ahead and translate it themselves).

I love all the Persona games. They are so different than your average RPG.
